Signage systems - Signage systems are visually oriented information systems, existing of signs, maps, arrows, color codings systems, pictograms and different typographic elements. Signing systems you will find at airports, in traffic, in a hospital, and for instance in public transport systems like the subway or within the trainstations.

Digital signage - Digital signage is a form of out-of-home advertising in which content and messages displayed on an electronic screen, or digital sign, can be changed without modification to the physical sign.

Commercial signage - Commercial signage identifies a business or similar entity, and attracts customers. In societies where literacy is not widespread, such signs are necessarily primarily based on images rather than words.
