Although Triumph's sporting heritage can be traced back to the 1920s, its greatest success began with the introduction of the TR2 in 1953. Other models -- such as the Spitfire, GT6, and TR Series -- followed on the heels of this initial success, and even came to represent the quintessential British sports car. This colorful history recounts the design, engineering, and sales successes of Triumph's popular models.
